School in Typhoon devastated area in Leyte gets new school building

The San Roque Elementary School in Tanauan, Leyte received a 2-storey, 4-classroom school building from partners SM Prime Holdings, Inc., Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), Inc., PSE Foundation & SM Foundation (SMFI). The donation was complete with 200 armchairs, 4 sets of teacher’s tables & chairs, 4 blackboards, 16 wall fans and assorted textbooks with each classroom equipped with a toilet. PSE executives led by its President, Hans Sicat, Directors Vivian Yuchengco, Edgardo Lacson and Daisy Arce also distributed hygiene kits to pupils.

Scholarship grant opens new opportunities to young hopefuls

One hundred and forty-five (145) scholars from National Capital Region and nearby provinces are now scholars of SM Foundation for school year 2015-2016. They are from Manila, Cavite, Bulacan, Malabon City, Navotas City, Quezon City, Taguig City, Tanay City and Valenzuela City.

Samar and Leyte get continuing support from SM Foundation through medical missions

For the victims of Typhoon Yolanda in Leyte and Samar, rebuilding their lives has not been easy. But they find comfort in the various non-government organizations and private institutions that are committed to help them move forward and overcome the trauma caused by the destruction of Yolanda. Rebuilding the lives of the victims involves not only providing them the needed infrastructure, housing, and source of livelihood but also ensuring their health and well-being.

Quality health service now more accessible in Indang

Opportunities grow on trees: SM, Unilever provide jobs for Tacloban People’s Organization

The SM group and Unilever Philippines will be helping “green” Tacloban as well as in providing jobs to a People’s Organization (PO) by planting 15,077 jackfruit, sugar-apple (atis) and tamarind trees under its Grow A Million Trees (GAMT) Campaign.
