SM group grows 10,000 trees in Antipolo

The SM group, in partnership with Banco de Oro (BDO) Foundation, will be planting 10,000 trees in Antipolo, Rizal as part of its Grow A Million Trees (GAMT) campaign.

This project is being undertaken by BDO Foundation, SM Supermalls, SM Development Corporation, SM Investments Corporation, SM Markets, SM Foundation, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, and the people’s organization (PO) Sitio San Ysiro Upland & Lowland Farmers Association, Inc. in Antipolo.

BDO volunteers plant trees in Antipolo

More than 120 volunteers from BDO branches and various departments recently planted trees in Antipolo City in an environmental event organized by BDO Foundation with SM Foundation.

Assisted by members of the People’s Organization in the community, BDO volunteers planted narra and cacao saplings on approximately 20 hectares in the mountains of Sitio San Ysiro, Barangay San Jose.

SM makes great strides in sustainability practices in 2015

These efforts are disclosed in SM’s 2015 Environmental, Social and Governance Report released on April 27 during the company’s Annual Stockholders’ Meeting.
