Students of Wawang Pulo Elementary School in Valenzuela were all too eager to go to class in their new two-storey, four-classroom building donated by partners SM Prime Holdings, Inc., SM Foundation and Deutsche Bank Ag Manila. The new school building was fully furnished with armchairs, wall fans, blackboards and teachers’ desks.
Two school buildings in Batangas City were recently repaired by SM Foundation in fulfillment with its commitment to undertake the maintenance and repair of school buildings it has donated. The school buildings that underwent repair belonged to the Navera National High School in Barangay Concepcion which was turned over by SM Foundation in July 2010 and the Bulacnin National High School in Barangay Bulacnin, Lipa City, turned over in January 2010.
Last month, SM Foundation turned over its 66th school building to the Tacloban City National High School in Leyte. The newly-constructed and fully-furnished 2-storey, 4-classroom building was a joint undertaking among partners SM Foundation, SM Prime Holdings, Inc. and BDO Foundation.
Thanks to the joint effort of BDO Foundation, SM Prime Holdings and SM Foundation, the students of Ibajay National High School in Kalibo, Aklan welcomed Christmas with a newly rebuilt 2-storey, 4-classroom school building.
SM Prime Holdings, BDO Foundation and SM Foundation teamed up to reconstruct the Lantangan Elementary School in Barangay in Pontevedra, Capiz.
The 2-storey, 4-classroom building was turned over on December 15, 2014 and comes with four toilets, 200 student armchairs, 16 wall fans, eight blackboards and four teachers’ desk sets. In addition to these, SM Foundation will also be handling the building’s maintenance and upkeep.
After a year of holding classes in two Department of Public Works and Highways bunkhouses or under the shades of trees, 846 students of Pedro E. Candido National Memorial High School have moved to two newly constructed school buildings in a site built by SM Foundation with funds from partners Forever 21, Global Hope Inc. & TTokamsa Mission Church. The new buildings stand on a one hectare lot donated by Angelique Claire Candido, granddaughter of Pedro Candido the original owner of the property and former Mayor of Hernani, E. Samar.
The San Roque Elementary School in Tanauan, Leyte received a 2-storey, 4-classroom school building from partners SM Prime Holdings, Inc., Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), Inc., PSE Foundation & SM Foundation (SMFI). The donation was complete with 200 armchairs, 4 sets of teacher’s tables & chairs, 4 blackboards, 16 wall fans and assorted textbooks with each classroom equipped with a toilet. PSE executives led by its President, Hans Sicat, Directors Vivian Yuchengco, Edgardo Lacson and Daisy Arce also distributed hygiene kits to pupils.
Early morning on March 24, 2015, students of Pasong Kawayan II Elementary School in General Trias, Cavite crowded eagerly in front of the newest addition to their campus—a fully-furnished, 2-storey, 4-classroom school building donated by project partners SM Foundation and SM Development Corporation (SMDC).
The turnover of the new 2-storey, 4-classroom school building by project partners SM Foundation, SM Prime Holdings, Inc. and Philippine Stock Exchange, Inc. (PSE) was met with cheers and smiles of gratitude from the students of San Roque Elementary School in Tanauan, Leyte on February 27, 2015.
