More Classrooms with SM Foundation, UBS partnership

UBS Investments Philippines, Inc. signed a Memorandum of Agreement with SM Prime Holdings, Inc. and SM Foundation to construct and donate a two-storey, four classroom school building in Ormoc City, Leyte, in support of the Department of Education’s ‘Adopt-A-School’ Program. The school building comes fully furnished with 200 arm chairs, 8 blackboards, 4 teacher’s desk sets, 16 wall fans and 4 washrooms. Through this partnership, UBS and SM help provide better access to quality public education for the students of Ormoc, one of the most devastated cities when super typhoon Yolanda hit in 2013. This school extends SM’s Yolanda rehabilitation efforts which include 12 school buildings, 100 college scholars, 2 health centers, 10 farmers’ trainings with 1,682 participants, 1,000 houses and the rebuilt and upgraded Tacloban City Hospital.

SM Focuses on these four areas to drive results and impact to the 17 sustainable development goals
